Honor Sanctuary Inc. is in the process of receiving its 501(c)3 designation from the IRS as a bonafide charitable organization. This will allow us to fund raise and provide donors with tax deductions for their donations. It will also allow us to apply for funding and grant money to sustain and grow the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is funded entirely by caring pet owners and people who believe in the sanctity of caring about the animals entrusted to our community.
Our Steering Committee is made up of professionals from all types of industries and disciplines. Educators, IT, realtors, business owners, writers, finance, advertising and marketing - and much more. Their combined expertise not only in their respective fields but in animal rescue offers an extraordinary pool of talent to pull from and experience to share. Their dedication is focused on building the Sanctuary as soon as possible and setting a course of hope and education in the communities we serve. It is our belief that we can support the existing animal rescue groups while bringing new ideas and plans to the communities we serve.
The Sanctuary will be an ‘umbrella’ for other animal rescue groups and shelters. We envision caring for not only the domestic dogs and cats, but hoofstock, birds, some exotics as needed and more. We will collaborate with all shelters and groups to ensure we are doing the best we can for the animals.
