Animal abuse is the first step towards human abuse. This well known fact is documented in every law enforcement complex in this country and world wide. Unfortunately it is how serial killers start out. It is sickening and disgusting; it is heart wrenching and heart breaking.
Know the laws in your county. If you witness animal abuse, call your local animal service department, the police or the sheriff’s department. It is not a silly prank, it is not ‘kids just being kids’ – it is the intentional hurting and killing of innocent animals for sick pleasure. Stand up, today you save the animal, and tomorrow you may have saved a child from abuse; or a woman from rape and torture. This is not something to sweep under the rug. It is abnormal behavior and not acceptable.
It is up to each of us to look out for the good of our community. Tomorrow it could be your dog or cat that is hurt; your child that is beat up by some bully; your wife or daughter hurt. Care about each animal…what happens to one of us in our community – happens to all of us. We care. We will stand up. We will help. |
